History in a few lines
- 1630: according to tradition, the image of Our Lady of Luján arrives.
- 1755: Luján is founded as a town, on October 17.
- 1758: its town council (cabildo) is created.
- 1910: the Basilica is inaugurated; its towers are completed in 1935.
